I am currently in my OPT period, and recently, my H1B visa starting on April 2009 has been approved.

But, my wife needs to travel before that.

So, I am wondering if she can travel outside of US and re-enter as F-2 before April 2009.

If it is possible, what does happen to her change of status approval.

Does she need to file I-539 again after return?
