    Streets Market is a grocery retail store located in the District of Columbia. We are devoted to offer a wide variety of organic, conventional, local, international, and everyday practical goods all under one roof. Currently we operate about 13 branches and a headquarter. The business of HQ is based on B2B based distribution and logistics, which is one of the largest organic, gourmet, and specialty food distributors in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina area. The customers of the distributions business include supermarkets, grocery stores, delicatessens, convenience stores, gas stations, newsstands, etc.

    The Front-end Web Developer will have with experience in HTML5, Javascript and CSS3. This individual will provide graphic and web design expertise and will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and implementing new web page designs and layouts, primarily in a newly developed Drupal environment.

    Key Roles/Responsibilities

    Collaborate with other developers and test engineers to produce high-quality software that delivers business value and follows established standards and processes
    Create and manage technical documentation
    Independently develop, code, modify, test and debug application programs
    Work with business users to develop and implement acceptance tests to ensure that product meets customer requirements
    Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
    Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production problems
    Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
    Actively engage in process improvement initiatives
    Basic Qualifications

    Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in Computer Science or related field
    At least 3 years of experience in the above role/responsibilities
    Experience designing, developing and delivering Web 2.0 systems using HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, SQL, CSS, OOP, Python
    Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives
    Ability to prioritize, status and multitask
    Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong ability to coordinate and collaborate tasks and activities within a team environment
    Ability to work in a busy and complex setting, including working with all levels of staff within the government and familiarity with the nuances of government practices and processes

    Minimum of two years’ working in a news designer/developer role.

    Strong digital design experience with a good command of modern UI/UX principles, typography, and web accessibility guidelines.
    Strong knowledge of modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    High level of proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, and PoSSQL, Sketch and SketchUp.
    Comfort working individually as well as multiple teams on deadline and ability to balance short-term and long-term projects.
    Desire to learn new skills and adapt quickly to newsroom needs

    Highly organized
    Strong verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual preferred: English/Korean)
