PlexenseBio is an early stage biotech company engaged in development rapid immunoassay tools. We are seeking to recruit a Scientist/Senior Scientist with expertise in protein functionalization and Immunoassay. Successful candidates will also have extensive knowledge and experience with bioconjugation of proteins and or peptides and coating such a material to polymers, surfaces. Additional experience working with downstream applications in protein immunoassay development and development of solid-phase assays is a plus. This position will involve research and collaboration with scientists at a range of skill levels at the interfaces between materials, surface science, protein biochemistry, protein engineering, and molecular biology. Candidates who can employ a broad range of biophysical and chemical analytical techniques to characterize systems from the perspective of surface chemistry, materials, and protein binding are of particular interest. Perform research in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.
Develop conjugation chemistry for protein and peptide and immobilization to surfaces.
Develop methods for immobilization of proteins and peptides to polymer surfaces.
Plan, conduct, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments.
Contribute to scientific manuscripts and grant applications.
Oversee activities of junior RA’s and scientists.

Requirements:
MS/Ph.D. in chemistry with specialization in bioconjugation, nanotechnology, materials, or surface chemistry.
4-6 years experience in academia or industry.
Experience with surface functionalization and passivation techniques.
Strong background in chemistry and materials related analytical techniques including HPLC, ELISA, Western Blotting, Label-Free detection etc.
Highly organized with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to lead projects and work productively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Fluent in speaking and writing Korean language desired
