Maybe this is one of several things that is relatively widely misunderstood.

Internationa Driver’s permit is NOT a license. If you look into inner pages,

you find that it says it is a permit, which is different thatn license.

That’s why sometimes even you are asked to present Korean driver’s license when you rent a car in the States,

although it is largely acknowledged as a driver’s license practically.

Unfortunately, you can’t exchange it with local license.
