QUALITY ENGINEER (Automotive / Scanning & Metrology)

DYWLS Manufacturing is a growing automotive manufacturing company specializing in metal stamping, fabrication, and automotive component production. We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer with strong experience in automotive manufacturing, dimensional inspection, scanning equipment, and quality reporting.
This role is ideal for candidates who understand automotive quality standards and enjoy working closely with production, customers, and engineering teams to improve product quality and process consistency.
Position Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for dimensional inspection, operation of scanning and metrology systems, quality reporting, root cause analysis, and customer quality support. The ideal candidate will have automotive manufacturing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate and maintain scanning and metrology equipment for dimensional inspection and product validation
Analyze dimensional data and prepare inspection reports for internal and customer requirements
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality issues
Support PPAP, FMEA, control plans, capability studies, and customer documentation requirements
Monitor product quality and support continuous improvement activities
Investigate customer complaints and support containment and corrective action implementation
Work closely with production, tooling, engineering, and customers to resolve quality concerns
Maintain quality documentation and inspection records
Support audits, quality systems, and customer visits as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred
Minimum 2+ years of automotive manufacturing or quality engineering experience preferred
Experience using scanning equipment, CMM, metrology, or dimensional inspection systems preferred
Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and reporting
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Korean and English bilingual ability is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (depending on experience)
