    JOB SUMMARY
    A Quality Control Assistant is responsible for assisting with the creation, execution, and continuous improvement of quality systems and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:
    1. Assist and support Plant/QC Manager in the organization of the quality department for planning, meetings, evaluations, and special projects
    2. Assist Plant/QC Manager in creating, revising, implementing, and training quality procedures and policies
    3. Support the Quality Management System, including Quality Control, Validations, CAR/NCRs, and special projects
    4. Perform and help organize quality-related training for the Quality Management system in the department and the whole organization
    5. Assist in managing Quality Irregularity Reports, perform reporting (monthly, quarterly, key figures, etc.) and trend analysis
    6. Analyze processes and reports for continuous improvements possibilities and lead resulting projects
    7. Inspects finished goods products for conformance to finished goods product specifications. The finished process to ensure quality and accuracy to customer specifications.
    8. Communicates with Plant Director, and Lead Machine Operator and Operator Helper pertinent inspection findings as appropriate.
    9. Responsible for implementing Corrective Actions and making specific preventative actions are followed.
    10. Organize and maintain the Document Control forms for Production Department
    11. Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
    12. Perform other duties within the employee’s training and skills as directed by Management.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    Competency Statements(s)
    o Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the common industry, production, and technical documents in English.
    o Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply basic and some advanced mathematical concepts.
    o Detail Oriented – High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others.
    o Physical Abilities – Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights, having a good sense of balance, good eye-hand-foot coordination.
    o Accountability – Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or related field
    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing or lab environment (preferably steel, and/or regulated industry) preferred.
    Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency with MS Office.
    Other Skills: Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written. Must have strong mathematical and science calculation skills. Statistical knowledge is a plus.
