혹시 medical billing & insurance 쪽에서 일하시고 있는 분이 계시면 조언 부탁드립니다.

먼저 1. medical billing & insurance 을 배우려면 자격증주는 학원도 괜챦은 건지, 아니면 2년제 커뮤니티 대학에서 학위를 받는 것이 좋은 지요?
미국 종합 병원 같은 데 취직하려면 대학의 학위가 중요한가요?

2. 연봉은 얼마 정도나 되는지..그리고, 큰 병원 같은데 취업하려면 취업률이 외국인으로서 어느 정도인지요?

3.경험자로서 이 직업의 장점과 단점을 말씀해 주실 수 있는지요?

4. 경험이 쌓일 경우 장래 비젼은 어떤지요?

1. Certificate required such as CPC and RHIT. Associate degree will be better for your promotion in the near future.
2. Will vary per location. My best guess is less than $35,000 for 2yr college & CPC certificate. English is key in this job. You are expected to call many people (insurance co., clinic administrators, physicians, and sometimes angry patients) Not much foreign employees as far as I know, mainly due to the language issue.
3. I am not working on this position but I can see how they are working. Good news is that there are huge demands in the job market. Bad news is the compensation is low.
4. You will be Office/Clinic/Billing Administrator in the private medical centers and/or insurance companies.

Why do you want to work on this job? It is not an easy job if you want to work in the office setting. However, there are also many people who work at home without phone calls.
