I am on an A-2 Dependent Visa, my Principal holder is affiliated with the Embassy of Lesotho.

I graduated back in 2018 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have been looking for work since graduation, but not many companies are willing to sponsor h1b visas at the moment, especially for an entry level position.

Since I do not have a Social Security number I am looking for what available paths I can take towards getting a green card. I am currently working on getting a Work Authorization approved, since I have a contingent offer, but it has been almost 8 months since I submitted my case, and I am starting to worry, wondering if I am eligible for the categories I filed for.

If anyone has any experience with getting Work Authorizations/EADs for A-2 Dependents, I would really appreciate any help.
