My I-485 approved 10/22/2008. That’s a great news except that I’m leaving to Korea early Saturday morning. I have a valid AP and passport.

What should I do to ensure the re-entry to U.S.? I cannot afford the trip to infopass. I’ll be back in 2 weeks, and two weeks are long enough for someone to get the approval notice and send it to Korea.

Does anyone have a case like this? Please share your experience.

Can someone get the green card in the mail and send it to you while you are in S. Korea ? You can enter US back without any hassles if you can receive your green card when you are still in S. Korea.

I’ll try to have someone to send the card to me in Korea. But if there’s not enough time for me to get the green card and I have to enter U.S. without green card, I expect some hassle. Or I can be lucky to enter with Travel doc without a problem.

If you have a valid AP, you will be fine. I’ve been to Korea last month with AP and I didn’t have any problems. FYI, I don’t even have my Green Card yet. Have a nice trip!
