    Summary
    This position will be responsible for negotiating with inland trucking companies to make deals for competitive trucking rates and agree with them on the contract that may specify propose revenue, cost, and trucking rate. Duties including but not limited to: data entry, record keeping, monitoring AR/AP, participate in month end closing, preparing audits and variance reports. Analyze transportation cost control associated and solve issues and provide customer service. Support in 2PL Team and develop freight forwarding business. Overseas and coordinates operational activities for organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations.

    Compensation
    $72,000-$80,000/Year(Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

    Responsibilities
    Ensure all charges are billed correctly including: A/R, A/P, Detention,Demurrage,Chassis, Additional charges, and etc.
    Bid to get the most competitive trucking rates. Excute market interpretation and forecasts
    Compare the cost and negotiate the price with vendors and other charges
    Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff
    Check the delivery schedule, destination, duration from pick up to container return and etc.
    Input AR/AP data entry to the operation system
    Dispute and follow up detention/demurrage/Chassis invoices with liners, customers, vendors
    Manage and report any accessories charge due to operation issues
    Make sure to keep all records related to AR/AP (update rates, supporting document and etc.)
    Follow up accounts set-up for new vendor and customer and generate GENISYS code and SAP code with AR/AP accounting department
    Review & posting AP & AR for freight forwarding business transactions
    Monitor the daily performance of AR & AP. Track the progress of AR & AP & rates
    Providing regular updates to management regarding updated rates, aging and AR & AP status
    Supervising and providing overall guidance to staff members
    Overseas and coordinates operational activities for organization to maximize company profit and to obtain optimum efficiency
    Plan, direct and coordinate the buying of trucking deliveries
    Study the ligalities of contracts
    Build and maintain business relationships with vendors for mutual successes
    Participate in Month End Closing
    Prepare, review AR, AP such as rates, GL code, Freight code, etc. for Month End Closing
    AR & AP accrual test for monthly closing reports
    Review and posting AR & AP for Irvine, CA and Mobile, AL freight forwarding business transactions
    Overseas settlement with Glovis Korea, issue debit notes and approve credit notes
    Track the progress of AR & AP & rates
    Assisting staff members in the preparation of monthly closing reports
    Support for all Administrative Tasks from Management as Needed
    Provide reports and information to other teams as needed – Assisting manager and team members on any projects as needed
    Support special projects

    Education & Experience
    Bachelor’s Degree Preferred But Not Required
    3-6 years of experience in Contract Management, Accounting, Logistics, SCM, Business Administration Required
    5-8 years of experience Preferred

    Physical Requirements
    Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
    Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
    Seldomly carry/lift up to 15lbs
    Use of operating desk machines such as PC, printer, and scanner
    Possibility of domestic travel 5%
