    United Merchant Services, Inc., listed on The Nilson Report’s “Top 150 Acquirers in World” and INC 500/5000 magazine’s 2012 & 2013 list of fastest-growing private companies in America”, is seeking candidates for Senior Web Developer join our rapidly growing HQ office in Hackensack, New Jersey.

    In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of technology including architectural design, development, implementation and oversight for large scale web-based applications and web services. You will oversee the architecture of key components and manage the development vendors. You will also work as project mediator with the internal software engineers, software vendors, clients and upper managers. You will police the architecture and technology direction for building collaborative, high value, easy to use customer facing web applications.

    Our new platform’s infrastructure is based on Microsoft .Net technology, but integrating with different technologies is possibility.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 architectural and design principles
    • Solid experience in planning, designing, and implementing software architectures and infrastructure in large scale web-based solutions
    • Solid experience in .Net Framework 3 / 4. WCF service/client components in .Net distributed servers.
    • JAX-WS, JAXB, Axis, Java/XML Binding
    • Microsoft Enterprise Library such as Unity Application/Policy Injection
    • Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT), .Net WCF, SOA, Web Services, XML, WSDL, SOAP, REST, etc.
    • Experience with modern web frameworks such as Dojo, JQuery, etc.
    • Relational database experience, including data modeling and performance tuning.
    • Knowledge of Architectural Standards and Frameworks; strong object-oriented analysis and design skills
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: ability to interact and work well with members of other functional groups in a project team and a strong sense of project ownership
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies like Scrum and XP
    • Strong leadership skills, decision making and problem solving abilities
