변호사님, 먼저 이런 좋은 일 하시는것에 감사말씀 드리며 질문하나 올립니다. 저는 현재 금융관련 대기업을 다니고 있는데 140은 승인 났고 7월 대란때 485도 들어갔습니다. 요즘들어 8년째 다니는 회사는 (다른 모든 금융회사가 그렇듯) 고전을 하고 있으며 저 또한 제 일에 급격히 흥미를 잃고 있습니다. 궁금한 것은 제가 이 시점에서 회사에 part time 으로 일하는 것을 제의할 수 있는지입니다. 예를들어 일주일에 다만 8 시간만이 라도 일하며 영주권 받을 때 까지 고용관계를 유지하고 대신 저는 워크퍼밋을 이용, 더 나이먹기 전 제 개인 비지니스를 시작하고 싶습니다. 회사에서는 그 동안의 관계도 있고해서 no 할 이유가 없을 듯 한데 과연 이민법 상 이것이 합법한 것인지 또는 영주권 심사에 영향을 미치는 일인지 너무 궁금합니다. 미리 감사의 인사 드립니다.

너무 급한상황입니다. 지난 금요일날 회사에서 lay-off통보를 받았고 이번 주 금요일이 저의 마지막 날입니다. 140은 예전에 승인받았고 현재 485는 약 1년정도 pending 중 입니다. AC21에 의해서 같은 직종의 job을 바꿀 수 있다고 들었는데 도대체 얼마나 빨리 제가 다른 직업을 구해야하나요? 또 저를 해고한 회사는 반드시 이민국에 저의 해고를 통고해야합니까? 만일 아니라면 이민국은 저의 해고사실을 어떻게아는지도 궁금하네요. 넘 급해서 두서없게 막 썼는데… 죄송하고 감사합니다.
