한국에서도 지원 가능하십니다.The EHS Specialist leads the environmental, health, safety, and security programs for an automotive manufacturing facility. This position develops and maintains systems that protect employees, contractors, visitors, the environment, and company assets while supporting safe and efficient operations. The EHS Manager partners with leadership and employees to strengthen the facility’s safety culture, reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
. Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s EHS policies, procedures, programs, and objectives.
. Promote safety culture through leadership, employee engagement, coaching, and accountability.
. Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety requirements.
. Serve as the facility’s primary contact for regulatory agencies, inspectors, auditors, and external EHS consultants.
. Conduct workplace inspection, risk assessment, job-safety analysis, ergonomics evaluation, and behavior-based safety observation.
. Lead investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental incidents, near misses, spills, property damage, and unsafe conditions.
. Facilitate root-cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and verified for effectiveness.
. Maintain programs addressing machine guarding, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, powered industrial trucks, personal protective equipment, hazardous energy, confined spaces, fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, ergonomics, and contractor safety.
. Oversee chemical approval, labeling, storage, handling, Safety Data Sheets, employee right-to-know requirements, and hazardous-material inventories.
. Manage environmental programs involving air emission, wastewater, stormwater, waste disposal, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and pollution reduction.
. Prepare and maintain required permits, reports, records, logs, and regulatory submissions.
. Develop emergency-response plan and coordinate drills involving fire, severe weather, chemical release, evacuation, medical emergency, and business interruption.
. Manage employee EHS orientation and training, including training records and effectiveness reviews.
. Analyze leading and lagging performance indicators, including incident, near miss, audit finding, corrective action, training completion, and environmental performance
. Present EHS performance, risks, priority, and improvement plan to plant and corporate leadership.
. Support return-to-work programs, and injury-prevention initiatives in partnership with Human Resources.
. Lead facility safety committee and encourage meaningful employee participation.
. Support internal, customer, corporate, and third-party audits.
. Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and emergency situations.
. Complete other EHS duties and improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
. Bachelor in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
. EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
. Knowledge of occupational safety and environmental compliance requirements applicable to manufacturing operation.
. Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, regulatory inspection, and compliance audit.
. Ability to develop and deliver effective EHS training.
. Understanding of machine safety, hazardous energy control, chemical management, ergonomics, emergency response, and industrial operation.
. Analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.Preferred Qualifications
. Experience in automotive manufacturing or automated production
. Professional certification, such as Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist.
. Experience managing environmental permits and regulatory reporting.
