On March 14th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for an Internal Medicine Faculty in the Field of Internal and Perioperative Medicine (Approval Notice).

General Field: Internal and Perioperative Medicine

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Internal Medicine Faculty

    Country of Origin: India

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Wisconsin

Approval Notice Date: March 14th, 2016

Processing Time: 3 months, 7 days (Premium Processing Requested)

    Case Summary:

An internal medicine faculty member approached North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) when she decided that she wanted to become an American permanent resident. She knew that we are excellent at immigration law and would do our very best to help her and her dependent attain green card success.

    EB-1A Petition Dossier:

We used Google Scholar to determine our client’s citation count and established that at the time of filing, our client’s work had collected 583 citations. She had also published 20 scientific articles and conducted 8 peer reviews for 4 well-known journals. Furthermore, her research on preoperative risk stratification and the evaluation of postoperative outcomes had garnered much attention from other medical experts in her field of internal and perioperative medicine. We determined that her creation and validation of a risk calculator that predicts cardiac risk post-surgery greatly benefits the United States medical sector and improves the safety and well-being of patients post-op.

Our legal services also included helping our client select several recommenders who could furnish us with strong recommendation letters that verified the value of our client’s work to the United States. We made sure that these recommenders were familiar with our client’s work and/or had used her findings in some form to progress their investigations. The four letters that our client managed to obtain were incorporated into our well-prepared EB-1A petition dossier and served as part of our extensive index of exhibits. One of these letters stated that “As you can see, [Client] has vastly improved our knowledge of postoperative risk when confronted with different medical conditions, and has done this to an extent that I do not believe anyone else in the field could presently match. She is certainly one of the most advanced individuals working in this area, and her continued research is crucial to the continued improvement of the field.”

    Request for Evidence (RFE):

Albeit our well-presented EB-1A petition, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE). Our well-trained legal team responded to the RFE promptly and efficiently. Three months after the USCIS issued their RFE, they approved our petition and sent us an approval notice. We would like to congratulate our client on this milestone. We are currently helping our client and her husband put together their I-485 applications (last step in green card proceedings), and we look forward to helping them obtain their green cards.
