    job summary.

     

    The ETL/Data Base Developer will be responsible for design and development of application components related to the Data Integration including custom extensions to an existing suite of legacy databases. In addition, act as an Application Data Analyst while facilitating design discussions around data integration to external systems including integration to Data Marts/Big Data Analytics.
    This role typically works under the guidance and direction of a Development Lead, and in turn, may provide guidance and direction to Developers. The ETL/Data Base Developer will have the opportunity to work closely with the Infrastructure Team (Server, Database, Storage, Network, and Security) while providing support to the applications under their responsibility.

     

    Job Responsibilities

     

    – Manage and Operate telematics Databases

    – Lead Oracle Vendor and IDC Operator

    – Lead New Project for Telematics Databases

    – Analysis of Current databases for improvements/efficiencies

    – create reports on database performance and service results

    – Lead Data-Mart Project

    – Lead Data exchange interface

     

    Experience

     

    – A bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, math, sciences or technical discipline
    – Experience with SQL and reporting tools

    – At least 5 years of experience in Relational or Data Mart / Data Hub design (logical and physical) for applications using Oracle.

     

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

     

    – Familiarity with “big data” and analytics
    – Experience in configuration management and deployment of developed code.
    – Work with the DBA’s to implement efficient databases, including specifying physical characteristics, gathering statistics, creating profiles, designing efficient indexes.
    – Ability to analyze data access and modification requirements to ensure efficient SQL, PL/SQL and optimal database design.
    – Participates in reviews with enterprise architects and other architecture staff to ensure and review compliance with Enterprise Architectural standards and best practices.
    – Understands the technical architecture and functionality of the system in order to provide suggestions to migrate conflicts between the design and technical requirements.
    – Closely works with the Data architects and DBA’s to insure data integrity and compliancy.
    – Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience with requirements gathering, test case development, perform system & integration testing, custom off the shelf (COTS)/business intelligence (BI) implement    ations and systems integration.

     

    Education

     

    BS: EE/CS

    MS: Related Engineering field a plus
