We are seeking an entry-level Coordinator, Ocean & Air Import/Export to support the day-to-day operations of ocean and air import/export shipments at our Clarksville, Tennessee location.
The Coordinator will assist with shipment bookings, shipping documentation, shipment tracking, customer communication, and coordination with overseas offices, carriers, customs brokers, trucking companies, and other logistics partners.
Korean–English bilingual communication skills are required, as this position will serve as a communication bridge between Korea headquarters/overseas offices and U.S. local operations.
This is an entry-level opportunity for an individual interested in developing a career in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or international trade.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Communication
Communicate in Korean and English with Korea headquarters, overseas partner offices, carriers, airlines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and customers.
Accurately communicate shipment-related information and updates.
Distribute operational documents such as Arrival Notices and Delivery Orders in a timely manner.
Provide shipment status updates to customers and internal teams.Operations / Technical
Arrange bookings for ocean and air import/export shipments with carriers, airlines, and co-loaders.
Enter shipment information accurately into freight forwarding and internal systems, such as CargoWise.
Update shipment milestones and maintain accurate records.
Track and trace shipments and promptly report delays, exceptions, or other issues.Documentation / Administrative
Prepare, review, and process shipping documents, including:
Bills of Lading (B/L)
Air Waybills (AWB)
Commercial Invoices
Packing Lists
Support the timely preparation and submission of U.S. Customs filings, including ISF (10+2), AMS, and AES.
Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure import/export documentation is complete and accurate.
Assist with invoicing and cost reconciliation.
Maintain organized shipment records, files, and documentation.Compliance / Other Responsibilities
Follow U.S. and international import/export regulations.
Follow company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform duties in accordance with company guiding principles and core values.
Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
0–2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics preferred; entry-level applicants are welcome.
Korean–English bilingual proficiency required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management (SCM), International Trade, Business, or a related field.
Previous experience with freight forwarding or transportation management systems (TMS), such as CargoWise.
Basic knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and U.S. Customs (CBP) regulations.
Basic understanding of U.S. customs and international trade processes.
Knowledge of customs valuation, classification, compliance/audit, and trade programs.
Internship or hands-on experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
Knowledge or training related to Dangerous Goods (DG) / HAZMAT Class 9, including battery cargo.
Good understanding of domestic and international geography.Physical Requirements
Warehouse / Operational Environment
The position may require the ability to:
Stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds when required.

Office / Sedentary EnvironmentThe position also requires the ability to:
Sit for extended periods while working at a desk and computer.

Communicate clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone.
Occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift items weighing up to approximately 10 pounds.Work Environment
This position operates in both warehouse and office environments.
The warehouse environment may include:
Varying temperatures, including refrigerated or non-climate-controlled areas.
Noise from machinery, forklifts, and conveyor systems.
Dust, odors, and airborne particles.
Concrete flooring.Moving mechanical equipment.
Frequent exposure to powered industrial vehicles and warehouse traffic.
Employees working in warehouse areas may be required to wear appropriate PPE, including:
Steel-toed safety shoes

The office environment includes standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers. The office is generally quiet to moderately noisy and climate-controlled.Schedule
