Dear Experts,

I have Honda Fit 2013 (45K miles) but failed Smog test in CA b/c OBDII screen not ready (Catalyst).
4 months ago batter was disconnected. Since then i drove very low miles due to COVID, etc.

I received various advice and drove 500 miles after the failed test, but still OBDII not ready. Any advice?
I read this is not rare, esp., some cars.

I understand: 1. Manual provides specific/long advice; 2. May need to drive upto 1000 or 1500m; 3. Go to dealer, etc.

I hope to get your advice from this website. Pls help me! Thank you in advance.

저도 비슷한 문제를 경험한 적이 있는데 배터리가 죽으면 컴퓨터메모리가 지워져서 스모그테스트가 패스가 안되더라구요. 머캐닉이 그 차종/엔진에 맞는 drive pattern을 보여줘서 (인터넷에도 있더군요) 그대로 45-60분 정도 운전을 한 후에 스모그테스트 패스가 되었습니다. 뭐 stop and go, highway, 일정 스피드 주행등 패턴을 시내에서 그대로 운전하는데 좀 힘들긴 했지만 주말 이른 시간에 통행량없는 곳에서 주행을 한 적이 있네요. 500-1000 마일은 아니었구요

뭐 다시 배터리 분리하고 리셋시켜서 한 50마일 달려보고 안되면… 다른문제일 가능성도 있음.
