비극적인 소식입니다… CA SWA OFFICE가 내년 3월 31일 문닫는다네요.
DOWNSIZE해서 LC CASE PROCESS할만한 RESOURCE가 없답니다.
CA SWA에 있는 CASE들은 모두 DOL로 넘어가는 중이고… TRANSFER되는 CASE에 대해서 담주중에 스케줄나온다구…

We have downsized to only a few staff in preparation for our office closing on March 31, 2005. We do not have the resources to process cases. The few staff left here wil be devoted to transferring cases to the DOL centers for processing between now and March 31, 2005. We will provide a schedule for transferring cases when the information becomes available. I expect it will be available within the next week. Your case will remain in intake status until it is transferred.

비극적인 소식은 아닐 것 같은데요…
일단 3/31로 SWA의 기능은 소멸하게 되고,
그 동안에(지금부터 그 때까지) (아무 일도 안 하는 것이 아니라) Backlog 센터로 트랜스퍼하는 작업을 계속하겠다…조만간 DOL에서 지침이 오면, 언제 날짜의 case를 트랜스퍼하는지를 알 수 있도록 메시지를 고치겠다…
저는 희망적으로 봅니다만.
참, Ca SWA의 직원들은 다 어디로 갔을까요?

have downsized considerably in preparation for DOL taking over the program and our office closing on March 31, 2005. We do not have the staff to continue case processing. Our resources have to be used to transfer cases to the backog reduction centers as required by DOL guidance. Once we have the guidance from DOL, we will change the message and let everyone know the priority dates of cases we are sending to the centers to finish processing but we don’t have that information yet. We expect to receive it in the next few days.

내년에 LC 신청 들어가는 사람들은 수속이 한단계 줄어 빨라져서 좋겠지만…
지금 SWA에서 PD근처까지 간사람들은 황당하기 짝이 없습니다.
변호사 말로는 2월 PD인 제 CASE인 경우에는 1년+1년 = 2년정도 걸리던 RIR이 더 오래 걸릴 가능성도 있다고 하네요.

(1)지금 PD근처까지 간 경우(RIR), 즉 PD가 Feb 2004인 경우,
예컨데 앞으로 1년 반 정도 더 걸린다고 가정하면, (10개월+18개월=28개월, 종전 2년보다 더 걸린다는 전제)
(2) PD가 2004년 8월~12월 경인 사람들은 앞으로 2년(24개월) 정도 더 걸릴 것이고(산술계산상)
(3) 그렇다면 내년 1월에 접수하는 사람들은 최소한 25개월 이상은 걸려야 형평에 맞는 것이 되는데,

그렇다면 모든 사람이 불리하게 되는 결과(기존에 접수한 사람들은 물론이고 내년에 새로 접수하는 사람들도 종전보다 불리하게 되는)가 되는데…그렇지는 않겠지요. 저는 여전히 희망적으로 봅니다만…
혹시 내년에 접수하는 케이스가 기존의 케이스보다 더 빨라질 수도 있을까요?

음 기존에 것을 다 처리하고 새로운 것을 처리하지 않을까요? 형평성 문제인것 같은데..
