I got a job offer from Amgen but not quite sure if I’d like the area. I just got married but still enjoy a child-free single like life. Could anybody tell me about Thousand Oaks like:

1. Housing prices
2. What to do / where to go for entertainment? Night life?
3. how many korean people live there if you know?
4. Anything else?

I’ll really appreciate your help! It’s hard to make a decision withoug knowing what I’m getting into.

1. 2400ft, 3 bed room : +$800,000
I know Amgen provide some support to buy the house for relocation
2. I don’t have money to enjoy entertainment. no knowledge
~ 35 miles from Korea town,
Lowest crime in US among +100,000 population
In one traffic accident: 4 police cars, 2 ambulance, 3 fire cars
3. ~ 600 people (from air)
4. 4 ~ 6 Korean Churches

조용한 동네이고,방2개짜리가 60만불정도…새 동네이고..한국사람도 꽤 살고,바다 가깝고…날씨 끝내주고..LA주변에 놀때 많음.한국마켓도 있슴.근처에…다운타운에선 멈.안전함..부자동네는 거의 다 안전함.

My position is supply chain analyst. I did not apply for the position however, the manager from Amgen contacted me which is very rare and asked for an interview. I was very impressed by Amgen with the ways they treat employees. FYI, I’m on a pending 485 status with EAD.
