      sorry for adding my message here, but for some reason I can’t load my new message.

      My 485 was approved about 10 days ago, but have not received the approval notice by mail yet. They said, they mailed it 5/5.
      Then today, the USCS site updated my case as below:

      ======================================================================
      On May 14, 2005, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant’s new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
      ======================================================================

      Does this mean that I do not need to make an appointment via Infopass to get a stamp on my passport?
      Anyone who has or had similar experience, pls advise.

      Txs.

      Sorry Sanjose nim. I have no idea but it sounds like what you think is right. Why don’t you call to 800-375-5283 to make everything sure?

      yy nim. My lawyer is a Jewish woman in NY and preperation took around one and half months for me to gather recomendations and supporting documents and meanwhile, my lawyer prepared the supporting letter. I prepared from the middle of Sep. 2004. Thanks.

      My plastic greencard was delivered to me yesterday. I do not need to get through infopass since it has been all taken care of.
      Thanks for all the useful info shared here.
