현재 듀크대학에 j1(visiting scholar program)으로 와 있습니다. 랩에서 근무 도중 인격적인 모멸감과 멸시를 참지 못해 더 이상 그곳에서 일할 수 없었습니다. 봉급은 받지 않았습니다. 저를 초청해주신 분에게 이 랩 말고 다른 랩을 요구하였으나 그 교수님은 저보고 오늘 아침에 메일을 보내 왔습니다..
“”You came to Duke to work with me in the laboratory for 1 year. I assigned you to work on my projects in the gait lab. You are the one who felt that the work was beneath you and you decided not to attend and work in the K lab. As far as I am concerned, you may and should return to Korea. There is no opportunity for you to observe surgery or clinic patients. I was very clear with you from our initial correspondence that this was to be a laboratory year. In the past I have rewarded physicians such as your self who have worked hard in the lab, by allowing them to come and observe in the OR. Currently I believe that the best action for you would be to return home now.””
이런 상황이라면 지금 돌아가야 하는지요…제 비자는 2010년 8월 31일 까지입니다. 좀 당황스럽고 어떻게 해야 될지를 모르겠습니다. 도움을 바랍니다.
