애들 방에 있는 컴퓨터가 하도 느리길래 소프트 스위치로 종료 하려고 했습니다. 그러나 그것도 한없이 모래시계만 바라보게 되어 본체의 파워 스위치를 눌렀으나 그마저도 듣지를 않아 전원을 차단하니 다음과 같은 메시지가 나오면서 부팅이 되지를 않는군요.

Important Windows XP program files are missing or damaged.

Solution:
This error is confusing for several reasons. First, many users may not understand that the kernel is the main program file in WinXP, the heart of the operating system. Second, the term “load needed DLLs” is just ambiguous enough that you might not know how serious the error really is. Unfortunately, this problem cannot be corrected by just rebuilding the system Registry or restoring files from the WinXP installation CD. You’ll need to perform an “in-place install” of the operating system, which will destroy most of your settings such as Internet Favorites and all of your applications. The good news: An in-place install will usually not overwrite files in your My Documents folder and will keep other files located in other directories (as long as they are not operating-system-related). To perform an in-place upgrade, you’ll need to boot from the WinXP CD, which might require that you enter the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) of your computer and enable the Boot From CD option. Then, when the install starts up, select the Install WinXP option and follow the remaining instructions.

하드 포맷하고 새로 윈도우즈 인스톨하시면,

데이터는 어떻게 하지요?

위의 guest님께 질문…제 컴은 HP 제품인데 윈도우 디스켓이 다로 있지않고 하드디스크에 라는 드라이브 속에 있습니다. 그런데 이 D 드라이브는 따로 있는게 아니고 아마도 C; 속에 있는 듯…왜냐하면 하드는 하나밖에 안 보이거든요…그러니 위에 설명하신 내용을 실행하는데 문제가 있지요. 어쩌지요?

데이터는 External USB Enclosure하나 사셔서 다름 컴에 옮기면 ..그리구 나서 윈도를 다시 설치하세요. 아마 OS installation 이 hidden partition에 있는것 같은데 External USB Enclosure에 넣고 다른컴에서 Computer Management – Storage – Disk Management로 보면 모든 Partition 을 볼수 있으니 거기서 부터 시작해 보서여. 글구 처음 부팅할때 F2, F10, F12, or Ctrl + F11중 하나를 눌러보면 아마 윈도를 다시 깔꺼냐구 물어볼텐데요..

복구 데이터가 D 드라이브에 저장되어 있는 형태인가 봅니다.
corr001 님 말씀처럼 우선 데이터를 다른 곳에 백업하시고
부팅할때 복구 작업 실행 키가 있을 것입니다.
키 누르면 자동으로 D 드라이브의 복구 데이터를 이용하여 복구 시킬겁니다.
물론 본인이 따로 설치했던 프로그램이나 데이터들은 사라집니다.
다른 방법으로는 윈도우 XP 시디를 빌려서 하세요.
같은 버전이면 됩니다.

문제의 하드 디스크를 다른 컴에 연결 시킬 수 있게하는 장치인가요? 저는 문제 하드를 떼어서 다른 컴에 붙여서 볼 수 있을까 해서 떼어보니 다른 컴퓨터와 하드디스크 슬롯이 틀려서 못했거든요…
