학업문제가 있어서 3살된 아이를 8개월 정도 한국에 있는 부모님한테 맡기려고 합니다.
가족이 2개월전에 영주권을 받은 상태구요.
알기로는 6개월이상 2년사이의 해외체류시에는 Re-entry Permit이 필요하다고 알고 있는데, I-131 instruction form을 보면

If you stay outside the United States for less than one year, you are not required to apply for Re-entry Permit. You may re-enter the United State on your Permanent Resident Card(Form I-551).

문장이 있는데 Re-entry Permit를 받을 필요없다는건가요? 아님 “may” 이니 second inspection까지 가서 좀 고생한 후 문제없으면 들여보내겠다는 의미일까요?
