안녕하세요
이번 12월에 4년제 대학교를 Interdisciplinary visual art라는 전공으로 졸업했습니다. 현재 OPT를 기다리고 있는중이고,
직장을 구했어요
학교다니면서 그래픽디자이너가 되고 싶었었는데
visual communication design 전공에서 떨어지는 바람에 할수 없이 경쟁이 별로 심하지 않은 IVA major를 전공하게됬습니다.
말그대로..이것저것 하고싶은 클라스들을 골라서 할수 있는 전공이였는데요.
디자인 관련 클라스는 2-design하고 3-design한게 전부에요…
거의 fine art에가까운 전공이긴했거든요..페인팅이랑 드로잉이 많았던…
어째튼 여름에 그래픽 디자인으로 인턴하고, 혼자 공부하고 그래서 한국
신문사에서 디자이너로 일할수 있게 되었는데요.이번에 변호사님하고 얘기하는데 제 전공 커리큘럼을 한번 훓어보시고는 힘들겠다고 하시는거에요 정확이 graphic design 전공이 아니라….
근데 저희 전공 description에 보면
“Students may also investigate related areas, such as film studies, architecture, business, comparative history of ideas, digital arts and experimental media, and computer science. In addition to academic studies, many Interdisciplinary Visual Arts students participate in internships in preparation for future careers in visual art related fields such as education, arts administration, museum and gallery work, architecture, art therapy, animation, interior design, fashion design, fine arts, art conservation, film and media, advertising and marketing”
이렇게 써있거든요;;;;
이게 불가능한건지..아니면 혹시 신문사에서 디자인하면서 삽화도 그린다 이런 position으로 하면 가능한건지…
