As far as I know, all each state’s DMV (other state may call it w/ different name) is sharing all the driver’s record. And prior insurance provider (company) is also keeping those record. So even though you don’t tell new agency, they are always requesting you to provide prior insurance provider info and eventually they will know either you have a ticket or not. Even though you paid the fine, unless you go to driving school and erase the point, it will cause increase in insurance premium.
