추가로 덧붙이자면, 아래의 대통령의 행정명령 원문의 해석상으로는 미국 내에서 영주권 수속을 진행하면서 여행허가서(Advance Parole)을 갖고 계신 분들에 대해서는 이번 이민 중단 행정명령이 적용되지 않으므로,  이런 분들의 미국 입국을 중지시키지는 않겠다고 되어 있습니다.

Sec. 2.  Scope of Suspension and Limitation on Entry.  (a)  The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall apply only to aliens who: (iii)  do not have an official travel document other than a visa (such as a transportation letter, an appropriate boarding foil, or an advance parole document) that is valid on the effective date of this proclamation or issued on any date thereafter that permits him or her to travel to the United States and seek entry or admission.

제 말씀은 그래도 이를 적용하는 과정에 있어서 오인과 착오로 애를 먹는 경우는 있을 수 있으므로, 이왕이면 아주 꼭 필요한 경우가 아니면 한국 왕래를 자제하시는 것이 낫고, 꼭 필요하신 경우,  관련 규정을 잘 숙지하신 상태에서  필요한 증빙서류를 잘 챙기신 다음에 한국 왕래를 추진하시는 것이 낫다는 것이었습니다.
