We specialize in various levels of storefront application from standard flush set glazing systems to curtain wall, herculite entrance, wall panel, as well as, bullet resistant glass applications.

Estimator for Architectural Metal & Glass Projects

Estimator will be responsible for estimating multiple large-scale commercial, industrial projects. They will be expected to establish and foster relationships with industry professionals, architects, manufacturers, general contractors and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

Degree related construction, engineering, finance.
1 – 3 years of experience in estimating commercial building projects
1 – 3 years of experience in the glass and glazing industry preferred but not required
Experience in determining scope of work
Experience in understanding bid documents & read blue print.
Proficient at understanding and translating construction plans, drawings and specifications and generating accurate take-offs and estimates
Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be a motivated team player
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and estimating software such as Glaziers Studio, ePartners, and Partner Pak;

Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Review bid packages
Evaluate project leads to determine scope of work, contractual requirements and create a bidding strategy.
Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions from contractors/architects
Prepare accurate quantity takeoff and pricing using architectural drawings, specifications and shop drawings
Manage multiple estimating projects concurrently with ability to multi-task
Solve problems and conflicts with potential glazing systems and the customization needed to meet architectural requirements
Materials ordering and management
Attend pre-bid meetings, site tours and post bid interviews as required
Develop unit cost accurately with profitability margins
Consider and understand problems and identify appropriate solutions
Maintain detailed records of each project estimated.
Assist in soliciting company or vendor proposals.
