BACK-END WEB DEVELOPER

Orange Shine (OS) is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Back-end Developer for our office in Cerritos, CA.
Orange Shine is an online fashion wholesale marketplace that connects wholesale vendors and retail buyers worldwide. As one of the fastest growing online wholesale marketplaces today, Orange Shine is dedicated to helping manufacturers increase their product line and brand recognition. Understanding each vendor’s unique offerings, we never stop thinking about how we can best tailor our services to each vendor’s needs. We also offer fashion retailers a wide range of latest fashion trends at literally the tip of their fingers. Orange Shine provides both retailers and wholesale vendors a shopping experience that takes minimal efforts and costs.

Key Activities:
Establish engineering processes, define company engineering standards, identify and implement core technologies, and remove technical hurdles
Detect any abrupt systematic errors and find solutions to provide a smooth end-user experience
Collect and maintain the database records for archival and develop software logic for front-end features
Work directly with other engineers, designers, brand/marketing teams to implement core features
Build solutions for appropriate scalability. You feel comfortable building something “hacky” if it fits the need, but are also able to call out real issues and create elegant, scalable solutions for them
Explore how technology can enable the company mission
Design and implement algorithms to efficiently process, analyze, and serve massive datasets

Position requirements:
– Good judgment in object-oriented software design
– Familiarity with JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5 and MVC Pattern
– Proficient handling of Version Control Systems (GIT preferred)
– Strong background in web development and experience implementing Web Services (REST API)
– 3 to 5+ years of experience with Python and Django framework is required
– Strong knowledge of UX and responsive design
– Some proficiency and willingness to learn technical tools used to daily tasks
– Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
– Culturally savvy, or multicultural experience a huge plus
