I’m a Canadian.
US company wants to hire me, but I will be working in Canada.
In this case, what kind of visa do I need to work for them? I will not cross the border, so I’m wondering what kind of visa I need.

일단 미국에서 일하지 않으신다면 비자가 필요하다고 생각됩니다.
미국에서 일해야 하면 TN visa 가 필요한데 그 비자는 보더에서 미국입국시 받으시면 됩니다. 물론 미국회사로 부터 이에대한 자료를 미리 받으셔야 하며 심사에 통과할 수 있어야 합니다. 자세한 자료는 미국이민국 홈페이지를 보시면 나와 있습니다. 하지만 님의 질문에 따르면 I do not think you need US visa.

A U.S. visa is an “authorization to enter the U.S. territory.”
Therefore, if you will not cross the Canada-U.S. border while working for a U.S. company as you said, you don’t need any U.S. visa.

In case you need to enter the U.S. for work in the future, you may apply for a TN visa at the border or for an H-1B through U.S. consulate in Canada.
