Our client is looking for a web designer to design for our Taiwanese players. The ideal candidate is a strong graphic artist who can leverage our client art style to create stunning website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces. This person must have a deep understanding of the opportunities and limitations of the web medium as well as information flow, readability, interface usability principles.

Responsibilities

The designer will be located in the Korean office and work closely together with the other international teams to develop and maintain all Our client websites for Taiwan. Communication will be with our international offices such as Taiwan, the U.S., and China. This person needs to be able to match global Our client design style guides and ensure on-time development and design quality. He/she should be strong in typography and able to communicate and implement specific design requirements matching Taiwanese users. The work scope reaches from localization of global sites to region specific online marketing promotions.

Requirements

 Strong graphic design skills, artistic sense, and fluency in Photoshop
 Ability to work within and build upon our client art style
 Extremely familiar with contemporary Taiwanese websites and style preferences of Taiwanese gamers
 Understanding of information flow, readability, and interface usability design principles
 Passion for web design and games
 Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with international team
 Coding experience and basic understanding of XHTML and CSS
 Fluency in Traditional Chinese (read/write)
 Strong English communications skills (both written and verbal)
 Knowledge about web localization
 3 years minimum work experience in related field
 Design degree or related education

Pluses

 Basic Korean language skills
 Experience working with other multi-national companies
 Knowledge of XML/XSLT
 Proficiency in creating interactive, animated web designs with Adobe Flash
 Familiarity with web scripting languages such as Java Script and Action Script
 Design related background and/or education
 Bachelor’s degree in a related field
