most of car dealers recommend you to buy extended warranty. if you decided to buy one, make sure for yourself if the dealer actually enrolled you on the warranty.
i purchased a car and 7-year extended warranty from a korean dealer and found out 3 years later that i’m not even registered with such warranty. (i happened to call the warranty company.)
the dealer explained me that there was a mistake and refunded me but i guess that they didn’t enroll me on purpose. he got nothing to lose really, if the customer finds out, he can just appolize and refund the money. if the customer don’t find out, he just gets free couple thousand dollars.
i thought it was a innocent mistake at first, but i’ve heard similar things here and there, i assume many dealers do this often.
so be careful and make sure everything for yourself.
just my 2 cents.
