현재 F1 신분인데 거래 은행에서 W-8BEN 을 작성해서 제출하라는 메일이 왔습니다. 그런데 사인하고 날자 쓰는곳 옆에 “Capacity in which acting” 이란 란이 있는데 이것이 무슨 뜻인지 혹 아시는 분 계시면 설명부탁합니다.

제일 밑에 보면 다음과 같은 말이 있습니다.

Please sign and date the form. The “Capacity in which acting” information field should be filled out as “self”.

즉 싸인하는 사람과 계좌 소유한 사람과의 관계를 물어보는 겁니다. 본인이면 Self라고 하시고 혹시 대리인이 싸인하는 경우라면 그 관계를 적으면 됩니다.
