We(Subsidiary of Korean Automotive Group) are seeking a Validation Engineer (junior level preferred) to become an integral part of our team! You will be in charge of software testing.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of Navigation Systems
Test the latest software releases and create master copies
Review updated compatibility between devices as new emerging technology applications are implemented
Identify production requirement, performance issues, and Negotiate with the core design team for a resolution
Manage small projects and technical resources, including planning, estimating, and follow-through
Communicate effectively with team members and other related parties to improve overall Navigation performance
Create system test plans based on specifications and standards and analyze test results
Compile monthly reports on quality assurance
Investigate and recreate reported defects
Work with other engineers, including Hyundai/Kia employees, to troubleshoot and resolve software issues
Track and document all testing defects and resolutions
Collaborative Working Relationships

Required Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Strong root-cause analysis skills
Strong communication skills for cooperating with team members and customers
Ability to establish and implement test strategies to properly assess all software aspects
Deadline and detail-oriented
Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bi-lingual in Korean
Preferred experience with the following: Navigation software, Map Database, System validation, vehicle infotainment, Mobile (Quality or Development)
Travel Requirements
Overnight test drives every ~4 months, a possible international trip to Canada, Mexico, South Korea, and so on.
