Unix Engineer (Junior / Entry-Level)

We are looking for a Junior Unix Engineer with 1-3 years of experience or equivalent internship experience. The role involves supporting Unix/Linux environments, assisting in system maintenance, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux servers
Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed
Apply system patches and updates under supervision
Support application deployments on Unix/Linux platforms
Write basic scripts for automation and routine tasks
Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures
Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams

Qualifications
1-3 years of Unix/Linux system administration experience or relevant internship
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and commands
Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, or Perl)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Desire to grow into Mid-Level Unix Engineer responsibilities
