Position Summary Technical Support Manager will report to the Plant Manager and have responsible for maintaining & installing new or existing machines. Train employees to operate. Communicate with customers to support their technical needs. Job Responsibilities • Manage to maintain or install new or existing machines • Support customers to meet their needs, solve their technical issues with engineered plastic products • Help to develop new engineered plastic compounds to meet with customer’s new requirements • Train employees to operate all machines, especially Moldex 3D & Simpoe Mold program • Meet operational goals and objectives; meet safety goals and objectives, meet product quality objectives; meet product cost targets. • Review schedule with scheduling department for maximum efficiency. • Identify processes and create programs that will reduce costs, reduce scrap and rework and keep overall product costs highly competitive. • Solicit ideas and feedback from employees by creating a high level of engagement without compromising effective systems or authority. • Reduce manufacturing, production, quality and on time delivery variables by implementing a high degree of process control. Job Requirements • Background in engineering plastics, resins, injection molding, and extrusions in a manufacturing environment • Required to utilize Moldex 3D & Simpoe Mold program • Ability to manage 10 + people • Technical support experience at least 5+ years • Bachelor’s in related field • Ability to effectively handle employee relations issues. • Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities. • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and provide direction in a positive manner. • Proven ability to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity and take appropriate action.
