Technical Sales Engineer
A hiring company is a leader in the field of electric power solutions, facilitating a stable supply of power through a wide range of electric equipment & systems, from low voltage to ultra-high voltage.
It is also well established in the green energy and industrial sectors such as the ubiquitous infrastructure business of RFID, power semiconductors, wired/wireless communication, USN and sensors, electric vehicle components, new & renewable energy sources, and the automation.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for products and applications to sales channel personnel and key accounts. May also develop and/or deliver technical training to customers, distributors and LSIS personnel on relevant products.
• Provide on-site application engineering and product consulting.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for all inquiries.
• Provide feedback on factory documentation for the purpose of continuous improvement.
• Develop technical/application notes where applicable, detailing start-up procedures of new products.
• Maintain current knowledge of new products and applications, through self-study, hands-on testing of demo units.
• Provide technical product and solution training to customers.
• Produce white papers and app notes for publication in industry media.
• Deliver presentations to internal and external organi¬zations or entities.
• Assist marketing with creation of technically based marketing collateral (e.g., Youtube videos)
• Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Travel Requirements
• 25% travel on average
• Work out of Lincolnshire, IL officeEssential Education, Skills and Experience
• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of application experience with industrial automation products.
• Experience with PLC, VFD, HMI, Servo, Control Networks, Motion Control and other industrial automation applications.
• Technical writing skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to operate effectively as part of a team.
• Customer service and phone skills.
• Professional, patient, positive, confident communication style and attitude.
• Ability to write and perform technical product and solution training for groups.
