    JOB PURPOSE:

    This position is responsible for growing the agency through client education and promotion of the business both in and out of the office.  This position has potential growth as a team leader as a designated product expert, or office manager.  Proficiency in this area can also lead to opportunities for State Farm Agency ownership if the candidate desires.

     

    EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

    Familiar with a broad range of business and

    Proficiency using a broad array of office systems and software packages (Microsoft Office programs etc)

    State Farm Insurance and Financial product knowledge

    Client IFR (Insurance and Financial Review) proficiency

    Marketing and sales ability

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    ** MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH

    Ability to educate people in both one-on-one and group settings

    Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills

    Ability evaluate asset and liability risks employing insurance and financial concepts

    Ability to use a wide variety of financial evaluation tools used to determine potential ROI

    Ability to uncover and understand the needs of the client and match solutions to those needs

    Leadership characteristics that enable appropriate decision making in the absence of the Agent

    Creative marketer

     

    LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (Must meet requirement within one month of hiring)

    Maryland Property and Casualty

    Maryland Life and Health – Including variable products

    State Farm required training modules for licensed staff agreement with State Farm

    Must pass required background checks including credit check

     

    JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES AND PROGRAMS:

    The employee will be expected to take part in any in-office training sessions, complete the Agent’s Staff Training courses as required, and attend district training sessions and State Farm ECHO training.  

     

    DUTIES:

    Greeting clients in a polite professional manner. 

    Preparing premium quotes, sales proposals, and performing Insurance and Financial Reviews with clients

    Processing policy changes on the Master Record.

    Contacting Policyholder and new prospects to set up sales appointment and evaluate needed risk mitigation

    Handling routine office duties as required

    Managing a portfolio of prospects

    Handling additional duties that may be assigned
