We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers’ needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies. <strong>Summary</strong> Manage inbound/outbound traffic regarding transportation of auto parts for Mobis Parts America and their suppliers with container moves. Manage shipments to minimize costs while maximizing profit for Glovis as well as to ensure that all customer inquires are responded promptly and professionally. This position will also responsible for AR/AP Process, weekly and monthly closing reports and various projects as required. <strong>Compensation Range</strong> $52,000-$60,000/Year(Subject to Compensation Upon Candidate Selection) <strong>Responsibilities</strong> Provide In & Out bound operation services- Covering ocean in & out bound Coordinate and monitor US inbound traffic regarding the transportation of auto parts with customers and provide assistance regarding documentation, inland deliveries, and customs related operations Analyze the volume of inbound shipments by: managing daily ETA and tracking reports with customers, tracking/locating customer order statuses daily, distributing delivery schedules with up to 10 inland carriers, reporting supply chain interruptions to internal and external accounts, and supporting and maintain supply chain issues Support insurance claims for cargo damage/accident/customer claims in related parties Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charge to minimize cost for the customer Be able to calculate any fees occurred for containers including demurrage, detention, chassis, storage, prepull, stop over, driver detention and etc. and advise customer in timely manner with occurring charges Notify customer in advance for the containers that may occur any charges Notify any occurred charges to Accounting department so they can invoice customer Oversee subordinate employees Train employees and provide insight regarding container operations Provide report for subordinate employees performance to supervisor and manager Receive report from subordinate employees in replace of supervisor when the supervisor is not present AR/AP Process, Monthly closing report Maintain list of all approved carriers and route guides by management and implement an effective cost-saving container transportation system Thoroughly understand customers demand and adjust daily operations to fit customers needs including container delivery date change requests Send container tracing report to customers weekly or daily requested by customer On call 24/7 for any urgency to container movements Set up any urgent container moves including late gate, weekend gate open at port and arrange with trucking company to ensure container deliveries to the customer warehouse Notify customers with updates from when the container departs from the port to customer warehouse including estimated time of arrival and current location of the container Coordinate internal/external communication to enhance operation, and report critical issues to the Manager and Management Liaising between managers and subordinate employees, as well as collaborating with other departments to optimize container move services.
