회사의 같은 부서 5명중 저와 총각을 제외한 셋이 다 그곳에 삽니다. 엘에이에서 제일 북쪽이라고 보시면 되구요. 발렌시아 근처입니다. 원래는 거의 사막인데. 요즘 한참 개발되고 있는 중입니다. 동료들 보면 방 4개짜리 큼직한 집이 한 60만불 하더군요. 다운타운까지는 러시아워에는 한시간 이상 걸리구요. 러시아워 아닐때는 30분만에 주파도 가능하다고는 합니다만. 적어도 한시간 잡아야 합니다. 학군은 좋은편이라고 합니다.
아래 질문 하셨던 것 같은데. 다운타운이 직장이시면. 글렌데일이나 파사데나 정도면 거리도 괜찮고 학군도 괜찮을 듯 싶습니다.

I am commuting to Santa Clarita. one way is 50 miles. usually no traffic so less than 1 hour. I leave 6:00 am to work and leave work 4:00 pm to avoid traffic.
I recommend you look for place near the downtown.
If your job will change to other side of downtown, your commuting distance is very long. I think La Canada or La Cresenta might be good, if you can afford housing. Next would be Pasadena, Glendale or San Marino.
If you have a job near Santa Clarita, this is nice place.
Otherwise you will enjoy traffic a lot with headache.
My friend bought house there and found job Woodland Hills (near Calabasas).
He is fighting traffic a lot everyday.
Ideal condition is we have to swap living place, but life is not working that way.
