집을 Rent하여 살고 있는 중에 집주인이 모기지 Payment를 하지 않아
집이 은행으로 넘어가고 집으로 은행의 대리인이 와서 2주안에 집을 비우라고 합니다.
집주인은 연락이 안되고 있다가 친구를 통하여 미안하다고 전해오느 황당한
경우 입니다.

대리인이 모기지회사와 Nego을 하면 집을 비울 일정을 연기할수 있다고 하는데 사실인지도 모르겠고 이런 경우에 세입자의 권리는 전혀 없는 것인가요?

경험 있으신 분들의 고견 부탁 드립니다.

If I were you, I would tell them you will live there at least for the worth of (your payment plus your security deposit) and see what happens. Meanwhile I would look for another housing.

If the owner did not pay mortgage while receiving rent from you, you can sue him for security plus moving expense plus punitive damage. It is called “rent skimming.” In severe case, he could go to jail. So ask the bank “rep” since when the owner did not make the mortgage payment to find out if this was the case.
