Quality Engineer
VSP, LLC

Position Summary:
Control and monitor quality parts and systems to drive continuous improvement in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:
• Implement the quality activities for assigned assembly lines.
• Perform the planned activities for process/job approval and improvement effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor process quality to supply high quality parts to customer shipping department continuously.
• Review and interpret statistical information and reports in order to draw conclusions regarding current production and inspection efficiency and quality.
• Develop testing and inspection methods for assigned assembly lines and parts
• Claim defective parts from suppliers and request improvements with customer.
• Serve as liaison between internal operations and various customer departments.
• Write detailed reports on quality issues identified and potential failures.
• Communicate effectively at various levels within the organizations.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Safety Management Systems (SMS) requirements.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned

Position Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent desired

Related Experience
• 1~2 years of job related experience is preferred but not required
• Automotive quality experience desired

Skills / Knowledge
• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Fundamental understanding of automotive Gasoline Engine and Seat theory and function preferred but not required

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional domestic travel. Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
