GLOVIS Alabama, LLC was established in 2003 as the Company’s very first oversea branch to operate using direct management and foreign logistic systems. GLOVIS Alabama supports not only HMMA’s (Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama) production logistics in the field of Consolidation Center, Transportation between GLOVIS Alabama and HMMA and its parts suppliers, Line Feeding inside HMMA but also GLOVIS Alabama operates outside Consolidation Center for local suppliers in the Montgomery area. Summary Responsible for assist to management of quality control for KD parts, sorting, audit and PPR (Part Problem Report) registration process on the related system. Manage quality issues and problems for KD parts and communicate with HQ and HMMA for resolution and counter actions. Supervise all sorting subcontractors and process to ensure standard to be able to meet production. Responsibilities • Manage new vehicle launching for KD parts at HMMA • Monitor order status for KD parts to be able to set an inspection plan for pilot parts before arriving at CC. • Execute plans and inspect pilot parts based on inspection standard with HMMA PQ. • Cooperate with Glovis HQ to be able to being improve parts for any quality issue found by inspection. • Manage sorting process for KD parts and sorting contractors (Sorting status, process audit, 5S at sorting area, etc.) • Ensure all sorting contractors perform jobs as instructed to avoid any failures to maintain stable line production. • Block either parts or any specific orders to be isolated on GCS system in a timely manner not to being released to line. • Oversee and evaluate sorting process and results of subcontractors. • Scrap nonconforming parts physically after sorting completion and update inventory status as well. • Manage quality issues and problems (line call response, LOT change, Block & Unblock, etc.) • Identify quality issues that found online side and isolate suspected LOT not to release to line side. • Conduct root cause with Glovis HQ to find out root cause and suspected LOT ASAP • Prepare for sorting process with sorting subcontractors upon request of HMMA QC or part suppliers. • Mange PPR (Part Problem Report) Registration process – • Register any PPR issued by HMMA QC on GQIMS system in accordance with SOP of create and register of PPR. • Review PPR before registration on GQIMS (Part name, Qty, vendor code, quality issue, quality code, etc.) • Manage scrap process • Scrap KD parts with damage from handling, delivery and etc. • Register scrap number on Glovis system • Manage FIFO process for EO change • Manage FIFO system for KD parts and release EO new part to HMMA • Support annual ISO 9001& 14001 certificate renewals as ISO standard require. • Support insurance claim process for containers that has caused wet damaged on KD parts. • Support shipback for KD parts to Korea upon request of suppliers. (Part removal request, TRF request, etc.) • Monitor and patrol the KD parts located in Cc to be able to be detected any package issues and other problem in advance. • Provide direction, support and any further information to team member working on PM shift to maintain job duty at PM shift • Travel: 10% travel to National & International Compensation Range Salary commensurate with experience Benefits of working at Hyundai GLOVIS America Inc.
