Hi,
PD is Sep, 2003 of EB3 case and got approved I-140, dec 2008, applied I-485, August 2007, finished I-485 interview in Nov, 2009. Currently, I hv H1-B status. According to the officer at the end of interview, we have to wait since priority date is not open yet.
Our company’s offering for overseas trip like HK, Cambodia abt a one month sort for traninining purpose/ experience of manufacturer etc. after trip, I’m planning to stop by Korea to see parents and family abt 10 days. It seems a good opportunity for me in both career and personally. but, someone said, it’s better not to leave the united status at the last stage of Green card process. USCIS may consider u’re willing to give up the green card if I leave the country during Green card processing, especially at the last stage. As per April 2010, priority date, Feb 2003 cases is in process.
As emailed to my attorney, he will d/check if I’ve applied travel permit when applying I-485 previosuly. Besides that, not getting any clear answer yet.
Pls advise if it won’t be a problem when re-enterying the U.S. When I visit HK or Korea, should I get a H1B-visa stamp? Can I get it in HK while staying there for a month or it should be done in Korea only? How long it takes in general? If it has to be done in Korea, not sure if 10 business days will be good enough to get stamped done?
Pls kindly advise.
Thanks alot
