얼마전 OPT 신청해서 EAD 카드를 받았습니다.

그래서 다음주부터 일을 하기로 되어 있는데..

회사에서 뭐 서류를 가지고 오라고 하면서 리스트를 줬는데…

Lists of Acceptable Documents                        

Documents that Establish Both Identity and Employment Eligibility-List A

1.  U.S. Passport (expired passports are not acceptable)

2.  Unexpired foreign passport, with I-551 stamp or attached INS Form I-94 indicating unexpired employment authorization.

3.  Permanent Resident Card or with photograph (INS Form I-151 or I-551).

4.  Unexpired Temporary Resident Card (INS form I-688)

5.  Unexpired Employment Authorization Card (INS Form I-688A)

6.  Unexpired Employment Authorization Document issued by the INS which contains a photograph (INS Form I-688B)

7.  I766 employment authorization card.

 

OR

 

Documents that Establish Identity-List B

1.  Driver’s License or ID card issued by a state or
outlying possession of the United States provided it contains a
photograph or information such as name, date or birth, gender, height,
eye color and
address.

2.  ID card issued by federal, state or local government agencies or
entities, provided it contains a photograph or information such as name,
date of birth, gender, height, eye color and address.

3.  School ID card with a photograph.

4.  Voter’s Military card or draft record.

5.  U.S. Military card or draft record

6.  Military care or draft record

7.  U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card

8.  Native American tribal document

9.  Driver’s license issued by a Canadian government authority

For persons under age 18 who are unable to present a  document listed above:

10. School record or report card

11. Clinic, doctor or hospital record

12. Day-care or nursery school record

AND

Documents that Establish Employment Eligibility-List C

1.  U.S. social security card
issued by the Social Security Administration (other than a card stating
it is not valid for employment).

2.  Certification of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State (Form FS-545 or Form DS-1350)

3.  Original or certified copy of a birth certificate issued by a state,
county, municipal authority or outlying possession of the United States
bearing an official seal.

4.  Native American tribal document

5.  U.S. Citizen ID Card (INS Form I-197)

6.  ID Card for use of Resident Citizen in the United States (INS Form I-179)

저는 List A에 속하는것 같은데…

제가 가지고 있는거…passport랑..EAD 카드밖에 없는데..

I688, I688A이런게 뭔지..

인터넷에서 찾아 보니까…2009이후로 Employment verification process가 바꿔져서..
저런 문서 안 쓴다고 하던데..아닌가요..

아니면..어디서..찾아야 하는지요..

다음주 월요일까지 준비해서 가야 하는데..망막하네요..

담당자한테 물어보니까..잘 모르는것..같아요..

I-9 폼이라고, 저 그거 며칠 전에 작성했었거든요. 담당자가 모르면 참 난감하네요.
저도 소셜 카드가 없어서 고생 했었는데요.

결론은, 저희 같은 OPT 는 그냥 그 OPT 카드만 있으면, 된다는거죠.
나중에 그걸 잘 아는 담당자가 그 카드만 보구 그 리스트를 모두 그냥 면제(?) 시켜줬는데
제가 필요했던 서류는, 결국 driver’s license, OPT 카드 정도 였습니다.

담당자랑 잘 상의해보세요.

F-1은 리스트 A에 해당합니다. 그리고 Section I 작성하시면 되고요. 나머지는 Employer가 해야 됩니다.
