OPT 중 학교를 transfer 하거나 등록하면 OPT 가 자동으로 취소 된다고 알고 있습니다.
그런데 그시기가 정확하게 언제인가요? 예를 들면 새 I-20 받았을때, 또는 학교 Internatioanl Office에 report 할때…
이 질문을 드리는 이유는 제가 지금 OPT 로 있는데 잡을 찾을때 까지 찾다가 다시 학교로 돌아가는 선택을 할 지 몰라서 입니다. 일단 학교 어플라이 하고 I-20 를 받는건 영향이 없지 않나요? 왜냐하면 여러 학교에 어플라이 해서 모두 I-20 를 받는다고 다 가는 것이 아니니까.. 어떤 공식적인 통보 (다닐 학교에) 를 통해서 현재 OPT 가 취소되고 다시 학생 신분으로 되는 거라고 생각하는데 정확히 아시는 분 계시면 답변 부탁합니다.

The student’s authorization for OPT ends on the transfer release date. Authorization for OPT is not transferable. If the student wishes to complete OPT, the transfer-out must set the release date for a date after the OPT ends.

When does OPT end for someone who is changing education levels?
Answer: OPT ends when the new I-20 is registered.
