안녕하세요,

Unemployment Benefits 에 관한  질문드립니다.

제가 5/11 부터  furlough 가 되어서 신청을 하려고 합니다. 사는곳은 NJ 이고 그동안 계속 NJ에서 일해왔었는데, 올해 1월말에 맨하탄에 있는 회사로 이직하게 되었습니다.

제가 알아본 봐로는, NJS DOL 웹사이트에서는 NY Commuter 들은 NY 에다가 신청하라고 합니다. NYS DOL 웹사이트에서는 아래 Q&amp;A 내용이 약간 이해가 안가서 질문드립니다. 저와같은 경우는 그럼  the highest benefit amount 을 받기위해서 그럼 NJ 하고 NY 둘다 신청을 시도 해봐야 할까요 아니면 NY에만 하면 될까요? 저와 비슷한 상황에 계셨던 분들 경험 공유해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

A: If you currently live in another state, but all of your work in the past 18 months was in New York State, you must file your claim with New York State. See How to File a Claim for instructions.

If you worked in 2 or more states in the past 18 months, you must file your claim with one of the states where you worked, no matter where you live. You may be able to combine wages from all the states where you worked in the past 18 months. OR you may use only the wages earned in the filing state. File your claim in a state where you worked, then that state will tell you all your filing options to receive the highest benefit amount. See details and filing instructions in other states.
