Job Description: Mechanical R&D Director
Job Overview
The Mechanical R&D Director is the core leader of the company’s technical R&D team, responsible for the overall R&D strategy, technical direction and project management of mechanical products. This position requires deep mechanical engineering knowledge, rich project management experience and excellent team leadership to ensure that the design, development and iteration of mechanical products meet market demand and the company’s strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities
Strategic Planning

Develop and implement the R&D strategy of mechanical products to ensure consistency with the company’s overall business goals.
Monitor industry development trends, analyze competitors, and identify opportunities for technological innovation.
Project Management

Manage multiple R&D projects from the concept stage to production implementation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Develop project plans, including schedules, milestones, resource allocation and risk management.
Team Leadership

Recruit, train and manage the mechanical R&D team, and motivate team members to improve their technical capabilities and innovation capabilities.
Promote team collaboration and cross-departmental communication to ensure effective flow of information.
Technical Development

Lead the design and development of new products, including program review, design verification and prototype trial production.
Guide the R&D team to tackle technical problems and ensure the best balance between product performance, quality and cost.
Customer Cooperation

Work closely with customers and marketing departments to understand customer needs, provide technical support and solutions.
Participate in customer technical exchanges, product launches and promotion activities to enhance product market competitiveness.
Quality Management

Ensure that the R&D team follows the product development process and quality management system and promotes continuous improvement measures.
Participate in product testing and verification to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Budget Management

Participate in R&D budget preparation and control to ensure effective use and reasonable allocation of R&D funds.
Job Requirements
Education: Master degree or above in mechanical engineering, industrial design or related majors.
Experience: At least 10 years of mechanical R&D and project management experience, 5 years of team management experience.
Skills:
Familiar with mechanical design software (such as CAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and related tools.
Have good project management skills and familiar with project management methodologies (such as PMBOK, Agile, etc.).
Have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to effectively coordinate cross-departmental work.
Qualities:
Have a strong sense of innovation and technical acumen, and have the ability to solve complex problems.
Possess strategic thinking and decision-making skills, and be able to lead a team to meet challenges and achieve goals.
