The engineers will play a very important role in taking Samsung’s world best smartphone quality to the next level. The team will analyze customer return device and work with R&D to find out root causes. The lessons learned during this study will directly impact in SW quality upgrade in next generation products.Successful candidates will possess good SW verification skills and trouble shooting skills. Good communication and coordination skills are of the essence in performing this role since this position requires good coordination between various related organizations in the USA and in HQ in Korea.Job responsibilities:In-depth & timely analysis of devices returned from customers for various reasons.Develop various inspection techniques and procedures to ensure product quality.Communication with R&D engineers to get root cause analysis and develop a corrective action plan.Reporting to management and other stakeholders to provide timely updates of quality issues in market.Timely update of issue tracking and requirement management tools to make sure all information is current and properly sharedConduct analysis of advanced test methods such as test automationMonitoring voice of customers utilizing various channelsQualifications:Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, computer science, or other technical majorsSW development and/or verification experienceAt least five year experience in relevant areas as a developer or QA engineerGood understanding of Android OSEnthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologiesHW design or analysis of mobile device is a major plusGood understanding of QA process and QA methodExperience with defect tracking systemsGood communication and coordination skillsSelf starter.
