She/he must be BILINGUAL (English & Korean), creative and collaborative individual with a great rounded personality and humble attitude. She/he must be a go-getter and be highly adaptable to a fast-paced environment and has attention to detail. This position is responsible for the translating of materials from English to Korean vice versa provide oral and written translation and interpretation of correspondence, forms, articles, technical manuals and other instructional and educational materials. Also, she/he compares the source text against the provided translation to catch any errors, such as mistranslations, consistency, the difference in nuance, word choice, and overall correctness of the translation. One of essential skillset/knowledge is that she/he knows/uses appropriate terminology of FDA/USDA and or any related government agencies and understands common Food and/or Cosmetic industry procedures and practices. Responsibilities โข Translate: Content as assigned, topics include but are not limited to marketing/PR, guidelines, educational material, product features and research reports & materials (HQ's report, Benchmark analysis, Competitor analysis officials, etc.) o Verbal translation with high accuracy, adhering to the style and intent of the speaker o Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions o Proactively responds to inquiries and requests for information o Ad-hoc projects as assigned. โข Organizational Skills, Prioritizing, Time Management, Detail-Oriented, Multi-Tasking, Ability to change project directions quickly, ability to work with ambiguity โข Prepare documentation and write comprehensive, user-friendly, clear work-related documents โข Gather, evaluate, organize, manage and collate information in a variety of formats and maintain familiarity with company product ranges โข Review food and dietary product label statements to ensure regulatory compliance to minimize the risk of product-related litigation. โข Keep up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines โข Outline requirements and ensure accuracy of labeling and packaging โข Manage all phases of the label change process including, document preparation, product specifications, approval notification, record retention, and correspondence. โข Maintain current knowledge of changes affecting food safety to ensure governmental compliance โข Manage activities such as audits and regulatory agency inspections** โข Reports to work regularly and on time. โข Assists in other duties as needed and directed. Requirements โข Native-level fluency in both languages (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation โข 4 yr. accredited degree required in Marketing or Business โข 1-2 years of experience dealing with regulatory agencies (i.e. USDA, FDA) โข Ability to work autonomously as well as with internal and external teams. โข Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel). โข Organized and systematic in views of others. โข Must have a trained eye for industry trend. โข Passion for beauty/skin/hair (Great plus). โข Takes feedback well and continually adapts to changing needs. โข Valid California driver's license with clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle.
