요즘 같은 크기의 tv에서 플라즈마가 조금씩 가격이 LCD보다 싼데 그만큼 차이가 있나요? 전기세가 조금 더 나오는 것 이외에는 화질은 똑같은 것으로 이해하고 있었는데요? 그 이유가 어떻게 되죠? 이번 Black Friday에 사려고 하거든요

Just buy LCD not Plasma.

Why do you recommend 1080?

전 몇달동안 열심히 고민하다가 결국 LCD로 샀어요. 전기, 무게, LCD가 오래간다, 등 여러가지 이유도 있었지만 업체들이 플라즈마 라인을 닫고 있다는게 결정적이었죠. 매장에서 LCD/Plasma 비교해도 결심하고 어렵더군요.
또 1080P로 산건 몇년 후에도 1080i로 산걸 후회하고 새걸로 사고 싶지 않아서구요. 평생 TV 고장나서 버린적 없어요. 무겁고, 화면이 작아서 버렸죠.
남의 집 가서 1080P Full HD보고 분명 그 해상도에 군침흘릴게 뻔해서 최고 해상도로 골랐죠. xbox해보면 해상도 죽입니다.

One of critical issue for the Plasma TV is “Burning” the screen and it will make permanent burn mark on your screen.
Right now, a lot of broadcasting TV channels are providing only 720p or 1080i, and I didn’t heard any TV broadcasting channels with 1080p yet.
So, it looks fine with 720p or 1080i TV for a while for TV channels.
But, HD DVD and Blue Ray DVD can support 1080p resulution and the other digital video contents will support 1080p in near future.
If you can buy another TV in next 5 years, you can get more big and better featured 1080p TV next time.

burn-in is not much of a issue, unless you use PDP as a computer monitor.
they have refresh setting to protect from burn-in problem.
plasmas has better color depth, contrast ratio. (more like CRTs)
it is just that PDP is HEAVY!
